has anyone stayed here and what do you think of this resort

We stayed there back in 1999 and thought it was a nice place. Beach was nice, water is calm. A co-worker stayed there in Feb and liked it. I believe someone on this board (Skip n' Judy?) stayed there this past winter and did a trip report on it. If you can go back to Dec or Jan and find their trip reports, you'll see the photos and get a good idea about the place. Looks like they did a lot of renovating since we've been there.

I stayed a long time ago but understand it has been refurbished...the only thing I did not like was they really try to pressure you into the timeshare presentation which is VERY high pressure and also a bunch of lies...we were told they were going to add on new units and build a pier with shopping stores...that was about 10 years ago and since nothing has been done...their price for a unit are outrageous about 30,000.00 for 1 week when you can go to a resale and get one for 2,500.00...also the bus stop is a long walk and the pool was in the shade by 1:30pm...the beach was nice...the resort next door is much better you can see it from the left side of the beach...VCI is the name and I have rentals there if our interested.....
