When we went to Cancun years ago we had this great dinner at the Hyatt Regency. The restaurant was laid out like a fish market and you'd take a basket and pick the fish you wanted. The waiter would come to your table and ask you how you wanted each thing prepared. Is this restaurant still in the Hyatt Regency? I looked on their web-site but couldn't find it. Sorry I don't know the name of the restaurant! Thanks for any info.!

I think the restaurant was actually called The Seafood Market but it is no longer in business. Just so you know, the Hyatt Regency is projected to reopen during the late autumn in November.

Thanks. I kind of thought that might be the case. We will be in Cancun in August so even if it were there it wouldn't have been open.

What might you suggest for a fun, great view, awesome food like that was? We'd go to that cave restaurant but isn't it down in Playa del Carmen? Something unique like that would be great! Thanks for the info!

Liz, yes, the cave restaurant is in Playa. check out Lorito Joe's seafood buffet on friday night. they have a nice view of the lagoon. depending on when you get there, you can see the sunset. it's pretty kewl! (and if you get the 2 for 1 Card thru me, you get a Discount on the buffet.) tim

We ARE getting the card for sure!! And our friends will need one or two as well. I'm working on the transfere thing which we've talked about. How much would your round trip transfere be to pick-up 4 on Friday Aug.18th going to the CasaMagna Marriott and then pick-up 6 for our departure on Saturday Aug.26th?

The Entertainment Plus 2x1 Card is an excellent value, I'm glad your party is geting them. You will save lots of money on not just meals but tours as well.

My husband and I will arrive Wed. Aug. 16th but both being UPS drivers we are not afraid of just catching a van on our way in but if you could be there for our friends' party of 4 on their arrival then we'll all be there for the return to the airport on Sat.
