Unless they enclosed it since I was last there. I chose to sit inside and many of the customers out there were requesting to be moved inside as it was very uncomfortable.

Another place, if you don't mind Italian, is La Madonna at La Isla. There is a group of tables on the mezz level that has dark lighting. Chuy and I love to cuddle there.

Even when it is hot there is usually a breeze off the lagoon to keep things comfortable.

If you don't like warm you are right but it is Cancun.

We have been exactly where you mentioned at LaM many times and it is very secluded. The carpaccio and the fruiti de mare are great. Even the pizza is good!

I'm with di on the A/C, it can get quite hot outside and stay that way 'til late at night.

All the suggestions were very good that you have gotten so far. I will recommend a few establishments that are often overlooked:

Cenacolo - Italian cuisine

Paloma Bonita - high end Mexican specialties from every region

Laguna Grill - lagoon side restaurant with great seafood

Puerto Madero - Argentine steaks and seafood specialties, can become a bit crowded but that's because the food is fantastic. Also consider Cambalache Argentine Big Steak House, by the same company and amazing for steaks.

La Vie En Bleu - authentic southern French Provençale in Centro (Downtown) Cancun

well, you already know about the boat to Rolandis on Isla
Anything on the water or where you can watch the sunset is romantic to me, Laguna Grill or Lorenzillos, Puerto Madero, or perhaps a romantic dinner cruise.

I was in Sorianos and they were selling Mayan tacos for 6 pesos or so. It look like beans on a tortilla but there were onions and peppers to put on them. They also had cold beer in a tub but I didn't see what they wanted for that.

I wonder if they would fix a table up on the beach for you after it gets dark. That would be romantic!
