the closest halfway decent snorkling for Cancun is the reef near Punta Ninuz. which is at the very southern end of the Hotel Zone. it's not to far from Club Med or the Westin Regina. Punta Nizuc is where all the 'Jungle Tours' go. are price for that is $33. or, you could spend most of the day at Xel Ha, which is a Great Park. you would be snorkeling in a lagoon which empties out into the ocean. the price for that is $69 All Inclusive. add 2 hours to that for a visit to Tulum which is a Mayan Ruin overlooking the ocean for $8 more. e-me if you would like more info. tim
